There’s a big difference with today’s type of football and old school football. For example back in the day players would play with leather helmets leather pads with no face masks. Now a days there is high tech helmets with padding to ovoid easy injury. And pads thick enough to be able to take a hard blow without getting hurt. Unlike back then when one hit could seriously hurt you. Football was created in 1913 and till this day one of the most popular sports. Annapolis shoemaker was the man to create the first leather helmet. But at the time he created them for the army to play when football was created they didn’t use them until 1930s. http://www.pasttimesports.biz/history.html.
Football also got more popular then it use to be, who doesn’t want to see their home town team go against another home town team play each other. U wants to support your team. Football is played all over the world now. Most ever kid in high school that plays football wants to play in the NFL. It’s a dream to play the spot you love and get played. The game how gotten better if you ask me the jerseys looks better helmets look better everything is better and so are the players, get faster stronger smarter every year. In today’s football it’s gotten easier so my dad says he states that when he played it was harder than it is now with makes no since but knowing me if I was told to hit someone with a leather helmet and leather pads knowing that there’s better equipment I wouldn’t do it. Football is also taking more serious these days, players become rich and make more than a living playing. When back then you played football just to play just to have fun so there’s a big difference with today’s football and back in the day football. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=football&view=detail&id=32568A7B45B9F00D862011DA6F8A2309F53BB710&first=1&FORM=IDFRIR&adlt=stricthttp://www.bing.com/images/search?q=old+school+football&view=detail&id=0E937654B4FF066D349083FF4BDBE52353F75D3A&first=31&FORM=IDFRIR&adlt=strict

My name is Kenneth Porras and I’m going to interview Evan Jefferson. I’m in Mrs. Persons 6th period class and Evan is one of my class mates. I’ve played with Evan for 3 years and he’s a really good ball player, sometimes a good leader. The reason why I’m interviewing Evan is because he’s one of our starters on the team without Evan we would be as successful as we are. So I decided to ask him a couple questions.
#1-What’s your goal for this year?
*Getting over 200 yards ruining, and breaking a lot of records.
#2-What do you love about football?
*Tackling other players, ruining and the cheerleaders.
#3-What do you hate about football?
*Practice and I hate been on the sideline.
#4-What’s your best memory in a game?
*hurdling over another player.
#5-Whos your favorite player and why?
*Emid Smith because he’s fast cool and he wears my favorite jersey number.
#6-Why did you start playing football?
*Because my dad made me.
#7-Whats your worst memory in the game?
*breaking my knee caps.
#8-Do you have a favorite jersey number?
*Emid Smith number 22
#9-How long have you played football?
*For about 4 years
#10-Would you like to take it to the next level?
I would but then no because I have too many injuries.
If it was up to me and I was in Evans shoes I would try and take it to the next level depending on how I would feel with the injuries, and what type of injuries I would have. Why do I say this? Because I know the potential that Evan has he can go far with his talent, But that’s up to him. All I know is that we need to prepare for next year’s football season to become undefeated. One thing I do want to say is that I agree with Evan, I also think that Emid Smith was one of the greatest running backs to ever play football.

Personal

One subject that I would really like to talk about is my injury, the year was 2009 and it was my sophmore year in high school and second year playing varsity football. This is how it began, it was a Thursday and I really didn’t want to practice that day. The whole day I had a moster headche and didn’t feel good, just wasn’t my day. But I had to practice because my dad told me to start focusing about what matters in life and that to me is football. So I got dressed, put my pads and straped my cleets on and went out to pratice. Did the usual, and my position is linebacker so im with the fast and big dudes and I the time my body size didn’t come close to the guys that I was going up against. So im already scared outta my mind, but I had to do it to impress the head linebacker coach, and for one of the warm of hitting drills the linebacker would stand on one side and the other on the other side at the same time there would be two bags on each side limiting us with space, one man would play ruining back and have the ball the other would be the linebacker and have to tackle the guy with the ball. So three guys went first then I had to go I went against a junior so it wasent that bad I kinda like it. And the linebacker coach was impressed so right there I was already happy. But I guess one of the senior got alittle jelous and wanted to show me up, so he straight up called me out infront of everyone so I had to step up. One on one with a senior star linebacker. On one side 6’2” weighing 225 and on the other side witch was me at 5’10” and weighing no more then 180 I was about to get my butt handed to me. I was thinking what am I getting myself into. But at the same time I couldent back down so I went for it the coach blew the whistle and he came to me I had to tackle him I went low cause hes bigger then me so that’s just the smart thing to do, so when we colashed my shoulder hit hes knee, I couldent move my whole arm couldent feel anything, I was scared and when it came to worse my whole rotater culf was turn everything in my left shoulder was turn and I could feel the pain. At the time I was pump so the pain went away very easy but when I got home I couldent stop crying the pain was beyond words. I couldent move my arm the next day I couldent sleep all the night. So I didn’t want to tell me dad cause all he would say is suck it up your fine. That’s just the way he is, if he can’t see the cute then your okay. And I hated that Icause I needed someone there for me. So I told my mom and she told me to ice it and take pain pills. So there I knew my season was not gonna be fun at all. Went out for the first game and my shoulder pop hurt so bad, after that my parents started to get the idea that this was serious and so did the coaches. We only had one more game left to play so I just sucked it up, but at the end of the game the team doctor told me that I might be able to rehab my shoulder with some types of exersies so I did what he said but the next season my biggest fear happen my shoulder had popped again I was hurt mad sad so many things goin through my mind cause I worked so hard in the offseason to become better faster and stronger. To just playing one game and to have my shoulder pop out of place. So I just sat out the next game to try and rehab my shoulder for the next game.Thank the lord it didn’t pop out for once I had a good game without my shoulder injury. It was funny to me cause after evry game the team doctor would tell me to go in the ice bath and I really hated the ice bath but I would tell him yea sure ill go but I would skipped and go straight home. No way that man was gonna get me to go in the ice bath. The next day th doctor called my house and my mom answered he had told her that I needed surgery on my shoulder I know it was bad but I really didn’t think surgery would fix it so I just told him I couldent do it I just had to pass on it. Missing up my shoulder really upset me till this day that’s my only weekness and I hate it, still pops out I can’t do some types of workouts without it popping out and it really hurts when it pops. Sometimes I get really mad cause I know I could become one of the best and to have this back me up from reaching my dream really kills me. I just wish I would have skipped practice that day so I would be better stronger and happier with my performances.

Title: Philadelphia Eagles
In thighs article I read about a team and how they made risks in order to be the best. The Philadelphia Eagles have had a rough season but this season they were thinking outside the box. They wanted to change the team so that they could become better and more deferent. So in the draft their first three picks were Jeremy Macklin, Leeann McCoy, and Cornelius Ingram. They also picked a quarterback that they thought would benefit the team, Michael Vick. As Andy Reid said, “We want to be able to throw many different things to teams. (Perloff,2009)" That’s exactly what they ended up doing in the 2010 season of the NFL football. They tootled up more yards than ever before. Thanks to the help of wide receiver Dessau Jackson and running back Brain Westbrook. The Philly Eagles also had a franchise record for 416 points in the 2008 season. This line up on offence got them to the first round of the 2010 playoffs against the Green Bay Packers. Which resulted in a horrible loss? But never the less what they at first thought was a shot in the dark turned out to be one of the best decisions Andy Reid made. Now that the season is over they can learn how to get better and how to make the team better. And also what type of player they need to play a certain passion that would benefit the team as a whole. To any fan that loves the Philly Eagles this is the best article to read to inform you more about the team you love.
